CHICAGO’S PRINTERS ROW BOOK FAIR, JUNE 9-10

I’ll be signing copies of Honk Honk, My Darling at the Printers Row Book Fair on Saturday, June 9, from 12-2 at the Society of Midland Authors table. Then, from 4-6, I’ll be hanging around the Chicago Writers Association table. Look for the big poster of Rex and Boots Carlozo in the spotlight! The next day, I’ll be moderating a panel at noon, featuring Charles Wheelan (10 1/2 Things No Commencement Speaker Has Ever Said) and Austin Kleon (Steal Like An Artist). AWARDS CEREMONY FOR CWA BOOKS OF THE YEAR JANUARY 14

Saturday, January 14, at 7 p.m., the Chicago Writers Association will present its awards for 2011 Books of the Year, including Honk Honk, My Darling. At Lincoln Square’s indispensible Book Cellar, JFG and the other winners (Christine Sneed, Krista August and Pamela Ferdinand) will read from their books and sign copies. HHMD WINS BOOK OF THE YEAR FROM CHICAGO WRITERS ASSOCIATION!

November 29, 2011: Honk Honk, My Darling wins the Book of the Year Award (Nontraditional Fiction) from the Chicago Writers Association! From the comments of the judge, Robert W. Walker: This novel packs so much humor on each page, combining humor and the solving of the case with a unique panache.
